I'm Andrew Bennie, an Event and Dressage rider, a coach and also a Judge. I have ridden at Four Star
(Now Five star) and Olympic level Eventing and trained many horses and riders through to advanced levels in all disciplines.
My qualifications are; British Eventing Accredited Coach, FBHS, British Dressage list 1 judge and FEI International Eventing judge
I currently work from Ingestre Stables in Staffordshire having sold my own yard in Wiltshire near Cirencester.
As a rider and coach, I am always seeking harmony, confidence, and thus trust between horse and
rider.
I work to encourage riders to get the very best out of their
relationship with their horse, in order to help build on a good basis with thought provoking training, which in turn builds confidence, enjoyment and success. Whether a rider seeks success in the competition arena, or would prefer to develop
their partnership in other ways.
I feel that coaching is a two way thing and don't teach in a way that will
belittle any rider, as this gives little room for self development, I prefer to help riders learn to "feel" what their horse is "telling" them and thus develop a "thinking riding" mentality that will doubtlessly develop as a happy, confident and harmonious partnership with their horse that will give many years of fun and success.
Throughout training sessions I promote a lot of rider feedback in order that they learn to think about what is
happening, rather than to be given endless instructions.
